FAQs
Measure the barrel length of your existing Roller Shade, not including the tips that are inserted into the brackets. Provide the store associate with this measurement, and tell the associate how you measured it (barrel to barrel), before your new shade is sized on the in-store machine.
Try these steps to adjust the shade tension:
- Remove the shade from the brackets.
- Unwind one full wrap of fabric from the tube.
- Reinstall the shade in the brackets.
- Operate the shade to determine if it is rolling up at an acceptable speed.
- If shade is still not rising at an acceptable rate, repeat steps 1-4 until issue is resolved.
Occasionally, this may happen over time. Using a blow dryer set on low heat, gently warm the edges of the shade to uncurl.
If the shade does not rise all the way or is rising too slowly:
- Raise the shade as far as it will go.
- Lower the shade 6”.
- Remove the shade from the brackets.
- Wind the fabric back onto the tube.
- Reinstall the shade in the brackets.
- Operate the shade to determine if it is rising at an acceptable speed.
- If shade is still not rising at an acceptable rate, repeat steps 1-6 until issue is resolved.
Bracket Covers are provided for Roller Shades with No Valance (Open Roll) option. They slide over the brackets and are color coordinated to the shade in either black or white.
