Yes, cellular shades provide important benefits like reducing heat transfer and increasing insulation. LEVOLOR Custom Cellular shades aren’t just stylish – they help keep your home more comfortable. Here’s how:
- The fabric's honeycomb shape traps hot and cold air in cellular pockets reducing air flow into your home.
- The Double Cell option features two layers of cells between your room and the window, providing an additional insulation barrier.
- Our exclusive Energy Shield™ liner is a thin, clear layer inside the cells that can provide additional year-round insulation.
To correct this issue, look inside the head rail and locate the spring motor (the mechanism that retracts the internal cords).
Each end of the spring motor should have a shim/clip (view photo).
Remove one and/or all of the shim/clips, then check for improved operation.
If the shade is still not operating smoothly, please contact customer service.
To retain crisp pleats, raise cellular shades at least once a day and leave in raised position for at least 2 hours.

If you are missing brackets, you can either contact the retailer where you purchased your cellular blind or contact customer service. Please provide the order number located on the label inside the headrail of your shade.
Locate the metal spears connected to the motor or cord loop clutch. Sometimes the small plastic component that keeps these spears from rubbing against the brackets moves out of position. Simply push this plastic component to the end of the metal spears to eliminate the noise.
